The tag team scene in All Elite Wrestling has just gotten that much more interesting. Earlier today, AEW took to Twitter to announce that Top Flight, the duo of Darius and Dante Martin, are All Elite. This team of brothers debuted for AEW this past October on AEW DARK, when they battled Evil Uno and Stu Grayson of The Dark Order in a spirited, albeit losing, effort. Since then, they’ve appeared consistently on AEW programming.
The most recent AEW match Top Flight had was on last week’s edition of Dynamite. On this episode, they battled AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. To the credit of Top Flight, they took Matt and Nick Jackson to the limit, utilizing their fast-paced offense against the veteran duo. Despite this, The Young Bucks were able to emerge supreme with a BTE Trigger. Perhaps it was this match that set into motion the official signing of Top Flight.

Darius and Dante Martin started their wrestling careers in 2016. They began for Independent Wrestling International, based out of Minnesota. It was here that they won the IWI Tag Team Championship under their masked personas. Darius and Dante Martin wrestled as Air Wolf and Angel Dorado, respectively. From there, they continued to make their way throughout the independent scene, including Showtime Championship Wrestling and F1RST Wrestling.
The combined popularity of Top Flight reached new heights when they debuted for GCW this past October. At the promotion’s For The Culture event, they battled Culture SZN and 40 Acres in a three-way tag team match. Though Top Flight failed to win, they had an incredible showing that caught the attention of those that had never heard of the team in question. From there, they made a few more independent appearances, including for Black Label Pro at Threat Level Noon, before ultimately landing in AEW.
