Kimber Lee Debuts On IMPACT Wrestling

Kimber Lee

IMPACT Wrestling‘s Knockouts locker room continues to be the most stacked women’s division in North America, and it appears it is only getting deeper. During Madison Rayne‘s Locker Room Talk segment, Madison interviewed Havok about last week’s debut of Neveah, a prominent person from Havok’s indie past (and present). During the segment, Madison revealed she knew someone else with a past with Havok, unveiling indie veteran and SHIMMER Champion Kimber Lee on to the show.

Kimber Lee has been wrestling on the US and international indies since 2011, when she was trained by WWE Superstar Drew Gulak and became the first female graduate of the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) Academy. She would go onto wrestle in CZW and eventually SHINE Wrestling, where she formed The Kimber Bombs with Cherry Bomb (AEW’s Allie). But it was in CHIKARA she would make history – a long time veteran of the company, in 2013 she won the CHIKARA Grand Championship, becoming the first woman to capture the main title of a major indie. She had a brief stint with NXT as Abbey Laith, before returning to the indies in 2018. She made her Japanese debut with Stardom following her WWE departure.

Kimber Lee’s history with Jessicka Havok goes back to their days together in CZW and CZW’s sister promotion, Women’s Superstars Uncensored (WSU), with battles in 2014, as well as working with SHIMMER during the same time. From 2016 to today, they two have warred in Chicago with AAW Pro, with Kimber Lee defeating Havok for the AAW Women’s Championship in May 2018. Last November, Havok was unsuccessful in her attempt to defeat Kimber Lee for the SHIMMER Championship. Yet strangely enough, Kimber Lee’s last match in 2020 was a tag match alongside Havok against rising stars Hyan and Savanna Stone at AAW A New Dawn this past January. Kimber Lee has only worked with IMPACT once before, at the IMPACT co-production RISE 9: RISE of the Knockouts in 2018 with RISE Wrestling, where she faced Shazza McKenzie.

And now, for the time being, Kimber Lee is a part of IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts locker room that features Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Madison Rayne, Su Yung, Tenille Dashwood, Kiera Hogan, Alisha Edwards, her opponent Jessicka Havok, and recent additions Kylie Rae and Neveah.
