Stardom Cancels Five Upcoming Shows Due To Coronavirus

Stardom

World Wonder Ring Stardom has announced the cancellation of five upcoming shows as a precautionary measure regarding the coronavirus situation in Japan.  The Joshi company WILL still run their March 8th Korakuen Hall show but this show will be an empty arena show, and it would appear will be available to watch for free on YouTube.  Stardom has also cancelled upcoming fan events and no fans will be in attendance for the pre-Korakuen press conference.

The February 23rd show in Nagoya was supposed to feature Mayu Iwatani defending the World Of Stardom Championship against Jungle Kyona but that match will now have to be postponed.  The February 22nd show was originally supposed to feature an Artist Of Stardom title match as Donna Del Mondo (Giulia, Syuri & Maika) were scheduled to defend against Oedo Tai (Natsuko Tora, Natsu Sumire & Saki Kashima) but this match will also have to be rescheduled

The cancellations will also disrupt the ongoing High Speed Grand Prix as AZM was meant to take on Starlight Kid in block action and Leyla Hirsch was scheduled to face Zoey Skye.

These cancellations come at a time when Stardom was gaining momentum and had a hot product so it’s unfortunate that they are having this momentum halted but the safety of fans and performers is more important than anything.
