In their WWN Alerts on Monday, EVOLVE Wrestling revealed that they are opening the EVOLVE Pro Wrestling Academy on Friday, February 28 in Queens, New York. The school will work out of Coliseum Gym 2.0 at 115-2 Jamaica Ave.
In a brief statement, EVOLVE announced the following:
We will have a full press release out soon, but we will leak the news now. EVOLVE is opening up a wrestling school in Queens, NY! We are excited to name Joe Gacy as the head coach. The school will be located at the Coliseum Gym 2.0, which is a 24/7 gym for athletes serious about their training. We will launch activities at the EVOLVE Pro Wrestling Academy on Friday, February 28th with an EVOLVE Seminar/Tryout with special guest Tommaso Ciampa. We’ll have more info soon, but you can fill out an application now in the WWNLive.com Seminar/Tryout section. It’s time to start your pro wrestling career!
Joe Gacy joins the school as its head coach, a 10+ year veteran who debuted with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) in 2006. Over his illustrious career, Gacy is a 3x CZW World Champion (including the current reigning), as well as a 3x CZW Wired Champion. He joined EVOLVE in 2018, and was a part of the faction The Unwanted, alongside NXT Superstar Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Chris Dickinson, Sean Maluta, Colby Corino, and Natalia Markova. Alongside Kingston, he held the EVOLVE Tag Team Championships.
