#AndNEW MCW Women’s & Intercommonwealth Champions

MCW

During Melbourne City Wrestling’s (MCW) Clash Of The Titans event, two new champions have been crowned.

The first title to change hands was the MCW Women’s Championship when Avary finally claimed the title from Steph De Lander. Since arriving in MCW De Lander has been a dominant force, defeating the likes of Indi Hartwell, Kellyanne, Avary, and Candy Lee. A run which ultimately saw her becoming the inaugural MCW Women’s Champion back in October.

For Avary, this title win is the culmination of years of hard work. Having initially joined MCW as a valet alongside The Brat Pack (Mitch Waterman & Nick Bury) Avary has slowly climbed through the ranks of the women’s division. Over the past couple of years Avary has had standout matches against; Kellyanne, Indi Hartwell, Toni Storm, Bea Priestly. Last year Avary earned a place in the Stardom 5 Star Grand Prix but winning the MCW Women’s Title is the biggest accomplishment of her career to date.

The second title to change hands on the evening was the MCW Intercommonwealth Championship when Caveman Ugg defeated Danny Psycho.

Psycho initially captured the MCW Intercommonwealth title back in July after winning the Intercommonwealth Championship Tournament. Since then Psycho had successfully defended the title four times before ultimately relinquishing his grasp on the title to Caveman Ugg last night. During his reign Psycho defended the title against the likes of; Matty Wahlberg, Hartley Jackson, and Royce Chambers.

The MCW Intercommonwealth Championship is Caveman Ugg’s first singles gold in the company. He has previously held the Tag Team Titles with his Prehistoric Death Cult partner Syd Parker. With this victory, Caveman Ugg becomes just the fourth man in history to hold both the MCW Intercommonwealth and the PWA Championships (the other three being; Robbie Eagles, Will Ospreay, and Adam Brooks).
