IMPACT Announces More Alumni for TNA Throwback Show

TNA

This WrestleMania Week, IMPACT Wrestling is dusting off its previous moniker, Total Nonstop Action (TNA), for a throwback show featuring many names from throughout the companies, such as the previously announced appearances from Chris Sabin, “Wildcat” Chris Harris, and the Aces & Eights tandem of Mr. Anderson and D’Lo Brown. Over the last 24 hours, IMPACT has revealed four more names for the TNA show.

“Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner is TNA

During the 1990s, Scott Steiner was one of the main event stars for WCW. He returned to WWE in 2002, but failed to reach the same heights he’d achieved as one of the main event players with the nWo. Following his lackluster WWE run, he headed to TNA, where he worked from 2006 through 2009, and then returning briefly in 2011. Since 2018, he’s made sporadic returns to IMPACT, but Steiner has been through many regimes in TNA/IMPACT and continues to be a loose cannon.

Petey Williams is TNA

While he works as a producer/agent with IMPACT, Petey Williams still occasionally wrestles for IMPACT to this day. Williams’ first run with TNA lasted from 2004 through 2009, winning the TNA X-Division Championship twice, and debuting as part of Team Canada. He briefly went to Ring of Honor after departing the Impact Zone, ultimately retiring in 2014. He unretired and returned to IMPACT in 2017.

Following WCW’s demise, Disco Inferno primarily worked various indies, but in 2004, he had a year-long run with TNA, which resulted in him working with Johnny Swinger in the New York Connection tag team. He’s appeared for IMPACT on a few occasions in 2018 and 2019.

Amazing Red is TNA

One of the most innovative high flyers of the 2000s, Amazing Red gained international acclaim following his runs in TNA, first from 2002 through 2005, then 2009 to 2011. During his two runs, he became a 3x X-Division Champion. After briefly retiring last year, Red has refound his love for pro wrestling, working with the likes of NJPW and ROH.
