Preview: AAA Lucha Libre – Nacemos Para Luchar (1/25/2020)

Nacemos Para Luchar

On Saturday, January 25th, 2020, AAA Lucha Libre returns to twitch as they host their first event of 2020 with Nacemos Para Luchar which translates to We were born to wrestle. A very fitting title coming off a campaign advertised in 2019 by AAA regarding the passion for Lucha Libre and those who choose to explore this endeavor and make it not just their careers, but their lives. For AAA, things are starting to great for the promotion as new faces and returning faces make their way to Mexico’s premier promotion.

It all started at the mega event Triplemania Regia when we would see the debut of El Toro Blanco RUSH, arguably Mexicos biggest draw, LA Park does the unthinkable and join forces to form La Faccion Ingobernable with Konnan, Killer Kross, and La Bestia Del Ring who should be joining the group soon. Now, the group looks to cause complete chaos all over AAA Lucha Libre. Here’s more on what the big show has in store this weekend.

Psycho Clown, Pentagon Jr. & Fenix vs. RUSH Toro Blanco, LA Park, La Bestia Del Ring

At Guerra De Titanes, La Faccion Ingobernable wasted no time in causing madness after a match that had Blue Demon Jr. teaming with RUSH and Rey Escorpion versus the team of Dr. Wagner Jr., Drago, and Psycho Clown ended with a brutal beatdown of several participants and the unthinkable as RUSH ripped off the mask of the face of AAA, Psycho Clown, making an immediate statement that the Ungovernable faction was not to be messed with.

This Saturday however, Psycho Clown gets a chance to get revenge for what RUSH did to him as he comes with back up in the form of the Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix. The brothers have a long heated history with RUSH, LA Park, and La Bestia Del Ring. The last time we saw the Lucha Bros in CMLL was against Los Ingobernables with 2/3 of the team consisting of the father/son duo of the Munoz family. It was in that match that the Brothers were brutally beat down to the point they have yet to return to CMLL.

But now, another chapter in the rivalry opens up for everyone here. The twist? The addition of LA Park, the legendary destroyer whose name goes back to the very beginnings of AAA Lucha Libre. What will the result be on Saturday night when these two teams face off? Will La Faccion Ingobernable make yet another statement and annihilate everyone in their sight? or will Psycho Clown and the Lucha Brothers get some redemption on this night?

Pagano, Aerostar & Drago vs. Blue Demon Jr. Chessman & Monster Clown

In what will most likely be a wild match as all these men are severe risk-takers, look for this match to go to great lengths to go to the Extremo. Chessman has had a long-standing feud with Pagano with both men trading victories over each other. Aerostar and Monster Clown have done very little Lucha and mostly brawl over the crowd, ring, and backstage, this is how heated their rivalry is, and Blue Demon Jr. has for the better part of a year, been brutalizing everyone with the help of Los Mercenarios and one of those stars happens to be Drago. Who will be able to physically walk out from this match? The Tecnicos or the Rudos?

Murder Clown, Puma King & El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. Rey Escorpion, Texano Jr. & Taurus

It seems Los Mercenarios have their eyes set on three individuals they plan to take out for good in Murder Clown, Puma King, and Hijo Del Vikingo. While the Mercenaries’ mission is to just beat whoever they see fit, perhaps the story in this match boils down to Vikingo and Taurus as the two seem to have a rivalry that could last a long time in the promotion. Anytime these two wrestle each other it’s a sight to see. Taurus, a monster of a man but with agility you rarely see in big men, can easily keep up with Vikingo. Now Vikingo is a one-man show who has performed moves never before seen in Lucha Libre.

At the Antonio Pena Cup, Vikingo would return from injury and would eliminate Taurus in a twelve-man elimination match. The two would meet on three other occasions in tag matches with each taking victories over one another. Will these two be paired off yet again? If so, who will have the advantage this time around? And what will Los Mercenarios have in mind on this night to cause further insanity to their opponents and anyone else who stands in their way?

Octagon Jr., Mysteziz Jr., Aramis vs. Mocho Cota Jr., Tito Santana, Carta Brava Jr.

What would a Lucha card be without some high flying action? This is within the Lucha culture and style of pro wrestling and what better way then for these six men to show the world what they can do with authentic Lucha Libre? The question here is who will fly highest? Who will be able to defy gravity? And who will be able to pull the craziest moves?

Taya, Mr. Iguana & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Abismo Negro Jr., La Hiedra & Demus

In a mix six-person tag match, La Reina De Reinas Champion Taya teams with AAA’s newest signee, Mr. Iguana and Mascarita Sagrada, one of AAA’s premier Luchadors face off against the team of Abismo Negro Jr., La Hiedra, who may look for a title shot if she’s able to possibly pin Taya in this match, and Demus

The rudos in this match are very nasty in the ring who will do some of the most sinister things to their opponents. This trios team is perfect for each other as they look to cause a lot of pain to their opponents. But, will the tecnicos be able to overcome this ultra-aggressive trios team? Or will the rudos get yet another win by any means necessary?

AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships: Lady Maravilla & Villano III Jr. (C) vs. Big Mami & Nino Hamburguesa vs. Lady Shani & Dinastia vs. Arez & Keyra

The AAA Mixed tag team champs, Lady Maravilla and Villano III Jr. defend their titles against three other mixed tag teams, but the most notable tag team the champs see themselves defending their titles against is the team of the reunited Big Mami and Nino Hamburguesa. 2019 was a rough year for the team as Lady Maravilla came between the two and not only succeeded in being responsible for taking the titles from them but also breaking up the two as a team, essentially taking everything from them. Big Mami had more than enough of Lady Maravilla and challenged her to a hair versus hair match at Guerra De Titanes as the co-main event for AAA Lucha Libre.

The result was a dramatic one that had Nino Hamburguesa, after being demanded by Big Mami not to help her any longer, STILL, come out and help her after a brutal beating she suffered at the hands of Lady Maravilla and company. The help resulted in Big Mami winning the match and getting Lady Maravilla’s hair. Nino Hamburguesa and Big Mami would reunite and embrace each other once again. Now it looks like the two are ready to go back to their winning ways and recapture the titles. Will they be successful? Or will the other teams get in the way of a victory for them? Or will Lady Maravilla and Villano III Jr. be able to walk out the winners?
