Michael Elgin To Compete For New Pro Wrestling NOAH Championship

Michael Elgin

Pro Wrestling NOAH has increasingly been using its partnerships with IMPACT! Wrestling and Major League Wrestling (MLW) lately with the likes of Rhino and Alexander Hammerstone competing for NOAH recently.  They have once again leaned on that alliance to bring in former NJPW titleholder Michael Elgin to compete for the brand new GHC National Championship.

Michael Elgin, who has also competed recently for Big Japan Wrestling, will take on former four-time GHC Heavyweight champion Takashi Sugiura to crown the first NOAH GHC Champion.  It is a good match considering Sugiura is also a big powerhouse who takes pleasure in taking and doling out stiff shots.

With Naomichi Marufuji coming to IMPACT! soon it looks like NOAH and it’s US affiliates are strengthening their partnership. This can only be good as it presents the opportunity to see matches like Elgin vs Sugiura which is sure to be a fantastic hoss fight.
