Alexia Nicole: IMPACT’s New Girl in Town (VIDEOS)

Over the past few months, a new member of the IMPACT Knockouts division has seen a slow rise in television time. Canadian indie star Alexia Nicole made her debut in May in a quick match against Jordynne Grace, but the feisty young Canadian gained the respect of her victor. Last week in early August, she got a second contest, this time against former 5x Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. After a tough contest, Rayne was the winner, but soon her and Keira Hogan began to argue. But the two bullies of the KO division turned their attention and beat down Alexia Nicole – only for Jordynne Grace to make the save. This Friday on IMPACT, Grace and Alexia teamed up to face Hogan and Rayne but fell short. But it appears Alexia Nicole has found herself a bodyguard in pound-for-pound IMPACT’s toughest competitor.

Toronto, Ontario’s Alexia Nicole got her start in pro wrestling eight years ago, when she began attending the wrestling school at Squared Circle Training in her hometown, learning under former IMPACT Knockout Taylor Wilde. By 2013, she was a regular with Kitchener, Ontario’s Pure Wrestling Association (PWA), making her US debut a year later with Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW). She often feuded with Jasmin, another Canadian indie star, who has since signed with WWE and competes in NXT as Aliyah.

Since then, she’s been a regular in much of the Toronto and Southern Ontario indies, such as Smash Wrestling, Destiny Wrestling, Alpha-1, and Demand Lucha. In the spring of 2018, she wrestled for Ring of Honor and NJPW at the War of the Worlds show in Toronto and this year made her Beyond Wrestling debut, even appearing on Uncharted Territory in a match with Solo Darling. She had impressed at a Beyond co-production with Toronto’s Greektown Pro Wrestling where she fought Beyond ace Kris Statlander to a double count-out.

Now Alexia Nicole is making her presence known on IMPACT television, in a storyline with three of the top names in the Knockouts division. Whether she’s with IMPACT full time now, or just stopping by for a short angle, one thing’s for sure. Alexia Nicole is in for a much bigger 2019 than she thought this time last year.
