Preview: Battle Club Pro Unfinished Business (6/21/19)

Battle Club Pro returns with Unfinished Business! We last saw them during WrestleMania week with their smash hit event, Women Crush Wednesday. Now with titles and grudge matches galore, it’s time to go to battle!

Christina Marie vs. Leyla Hirsch

These two crossed paths at Women Crush Wednesday in a gauntlet match. Leyla Hirsch was the one who walked away with the victory that day. That’s how these two have Unfinished Business. Don’t count Courageous Christina Marie out though. She’s a veteran of the Northeast, working for promotions such as Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling, Excellence Pro Wrestling, and Shine Wrestling. Christina is a former PPW Women’s Champion as well a former Dynasty Diamond’s Title holder. Leyla Hirsch has yet to taste gold in her short career; she is a product of the CZW Dojo and protege of DJ Hyde. Leyla has taken on all types of opponents, greenhorns to veterans, men to women. She’s also had great successes, putting away names like LuFisto, Mercedes Martinez, and Joe Gacy.

Joey Ace vs. Trever Aeon

The Unfinished Business between these two goes several months back. Joey Ace made his BCP debut at Trever’s expense at the event Trial by Combat. He attacked Aeon and dropped him on his head, leaving him laying. Now the time has come for the Gothic Gangster to make Joey Ace pay for his sins. Trever Aeon travels up and down the Eastern seaboard, from New York down to Alabama plying his craft. He most regularly appears for Pro South Wrestling in Alabama but has worked for many promotions. Joey Ace calls himself the 5 Star Stud and is a ten year veteran of the squared circle. He’s competed for Warriors of Wrestling, East Coast Wrestling Association, and many others. One thing’s for certain with a grudge like this, only one man is walking away.

The Diamond Dogs vs. The Sea Stars vs. The Ugly Ducklings

Also on tap for this event is a triple threat tag team match. The Ugly Ducklings and The Diamond Dogs are no strangers to each other. They have faced off three times before, twice for Battle Club Pro. Graham and Luke have also faced off against The Sea Stars, Delmi Exo, and Ashley Vox. The sister duo of the Sea Stars holds the W over the Dogs. Luke and Graham hold a singles victory over the Ugly Ducklings. One team will have supremacy over two teams following this clash at Unfinished Business.

JT Dunn vs. Joe Gacy

Unfinished Business will feature a first-time-ever meeting! Pro wrestling’s savior, that new knockout kid JT Dunn is a battle-hardened veteran. So is the Chainsaw, Joe Gacy. Joe is a two-time former CZW World Heavyweight Champion. JT only recently lost the NEW Heavyweight Championship; he’s also a former Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. These two have been up and down the same roads and paths along the bumpy trail of independent wrestling. But until now, they’ve never crossed paths with one another. On June 21st, we’ll finally get to see which one of these two forces will reign supreme.

For a Future BCP Heavyweight Franchise Title Shot: Saieve Al Sabah vs. Danny Maff vs. The Gifted One Yahya vs. Mr. Grim

As part of Unfinished Business, Battle Club Pro will crown a Heavyweight Franchise Champion. Once you have a champion, you need a challenger. This match, with four very hungry and successful wrestlers, will determine a future challenger for that title. Saieve Al Sabah is a product of the Team 3D Academy and is a current double-champion. He is the FEST Wrestling Champion as well as the Premier Wrestling Xperience Champion. Surely he would like nothing more than to add another belt to his collection. Speaking of champions, Dan Maff is also part of this match. In his twenty-year career, Maff has held many titles. He was most recently crowned the Wrestling Has A Tomorrow Champion.

The Gifted One, Yahya, trained by the great George South is also part of this match. Like Saieve, his career is not yet long, but he’s ready to take his place at the top of any company. Rounding out this match is Mr. Grim, the hitman for hire. He too comes into this match with hardware from another company, the Wrestler’s Lab Championship. Anyone of these men would be more than credible challengers.

For a Future BCP ICONS Title Shot: Diamante vs. Davienne vs. Allie Kat

These three ladies will go to war to start some Unfinished Business. Whichever one walks away victorious will receive a future title shot at the Battle Club Pro Icons Championship. Diamante is seeing a resurgence following her departure from IMPACT Wrestling and recovering from an injury. She recently appeared on NXT as well. Davienne, still not America’s sweetheart, is also enjoying new successes for Women Superstars United and Beyond Wrestling. Allie Kat has also been appearing in new places like CHIKARA. She’s also mentioned her struggles on social media, so perhaps a win here would be a shot in the arm for her career. If not, at least she has the opportunity to show us she’s the cat’s meow.

BCP ICONS Championship Match: Tasha Steelz (c) vs. Harlow O’Hara

Tasha Steelz surprised the priestess at Women Crush Wednesday; challenging her for an impromptu match for the title. In this match, the protege of Damien Addams usurped Harlow and walked away with the Icons Championship. Now Harlow O’Hara is on the hunt for revenge and the retrieval of “her” title. Both women have been sending digs at each other over social media ahead of this huge title match. Tasha is getting noticeably short-tempered with the high priestess of the Church of Harlow. Only one woman can walk away with the Icons title around her waist.

BCP Heavyweight Franchise Championship: Tripp Cassidy vs. Shane Mercer vs. Anthony Bowens vs. Darius Carter vs. Matt Macintosh

Much like the match for a shot at this new title, this one is stacked with talent worthy of holding it. Tripp Cassidy is probably best known for being part of The Carnies with Nick Iggy and Kerry Awful. They’re worked for Bar Wrestling, Black Label Pro, IWA Mid-South and more. However, he does compete as a singles star and has had success in his own right. The Iron Demon, Shane Mercer is already a current champion. He’s the Juggalo Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and a former IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion. You can see Shane perform for other promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, Wrestling Theology Fellowship, and Heroes and Legends Wrestling.

Vigilante Anthony Bowens is a two-time former WrestlePro Champion. There is also a regular, as well as working for CZW, and making appearances for IMPACT Wrestling and NXT. Darius Carter calls himself the ace of Battle Club Pro and argues with anyone who thinks otherwise. He even opposed BCP holding it’s all women’s event over WrestleMania weekend. While this may not endear him to the fans, there is little doubting his technical abilities. Matt Macintosh is another extremely worthy wrestler of any championship. He is a WrestlePro regular like Bowens and is the current WrestlePro Gold Champion; as well as the current Synergy Wrestling Champion. The Bad Apple also appears for Capital Wrestling, Five Boroughs Wrestling and recently CZW.

All of these incredible matches go down on June 21st at Battle Club Pro’s Unfinished Business. If you can’t make it out to the show, it will be streaming on the Title Match Wrestling Network.
