On Sunday night in Edinburgh, Scotland, Martina The Session Moth outlasted 14 other women and captured the Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship at Disco Derby, ending Sammii Jayne‘s reign at 484-days.

Founded in 2014, Discovery Wrestling has become one of Scotland’s top indie promotions, joining a field that includes Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) and Scottish Wrestling Alliance (SWA), and has become another top tier promotion that brings the best stars of the UK and pits them against the best Scottish wrestling has to offer.

For Martina, it puts her back in the title scene once again. Prior to tonight, Martina’s last title was the Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling Women’s Championship, which she lost last April. Since then, she’s been working for Stardom in Japan as well as OTT, Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), and other UK indies like PROGRESS, ICW, and Fight Club: PRO. She’s currently preparing for a showdown against Japanese legend Meiko Satomura at OTT’s ScrapperMania 5 on March 16.
