Preview: Black Label Pro Unplugged (2/2/19)

Indiana’s Black Label Pro – the Indy indie – has emerged as one of the top new promotions in the Midwest territory, utilizing many national indie stars in a smooth mix of matchups with local and regional talents from the Midwest, Mid Atlantic, and Southern regions. This Saturday, they return with BLP Unplugged, a unique showcase they’re holding in a smaller venue than normal (only 200 seats available) and introducing several BLP debuts and new talents.

An exciting matchup featuring master technician Rory Gulak, the brother of WWE Superstar Drew Gulak, and a regular with CHIKARA, Beyond Wrestling, and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW). The 10-year veteran faces one of Canada’s emerging indie stars in Daniel Makabe. Makabe, a regular with Seattle’s 3-2-1 BATTLE! is looking to expand his national resume, and taking out Gulak would be a good start.

Sadkampf is another team breaking out of the Southern scene, as former EVOLVE wrestler (and member of Catch Point) Dominic Garrini pairs up with Kevin Ku in a matchup with one of the indie scene’s most underrated tandems. The Work Horsemen of JD Drake and Anthony Henry have proven to not only be one of the most solid duos in the US indies, winning the Full Impact Pro and EVOLVE Tag Team titles but as singles too – Drake is the reigning WWN Champion, while Henry holds the FIP World Championship. Should be an exciting tag team contest.
