Florida Indie Wrestler Dr. Rex Bacchus Passes Away at 35

A rising talent in the Florida indie circuit, on Thursday Chris Sims – professionally known as Dr. Rex Bacchus – succumbed to cancer at the age of 35. The news was broken by several places, including Major League Wrestling (MLW).

Rex Bacchus was a late bloomer in the business, only starting as a 31-year old in 2015. He trained out of the Team Vision Dojo in Florida and has been a regular for I BELIEVE Wrestling ever since. He also competed for other Florida promotions, such as American Combat Wrestling (ACW), EVOLVE, IGNITE, Full Impact Pro and recently on the November event, Fightland for MLW. He was a multi-time tag team champion on the Florida indies, capturing the RIOT Pro Tag Team and Full Throttle Pro Tag Team Championships alongside Chico Adams.
