Preview: Wrestlecade Supershow (11/24/18)

Wrestlecade continues with Night 2 of their three day weekend of events, with the Wrestlecade Supershow, in partnership with America’s Most Liked (AML) Wrestling. Like Friday’s Showcase of Champions, it will air on Fite.tv. Here’s a look at a huge card, featuring top indie stars in matches with stars from IMPACT Wrestling, Lucha Underground, WWE, ECW and more!

Top Rope Belts All Star Battle Royal

A huge battle royal sponsored by Top Rope Belts, featuring a slew of indie stars, such as Fred Dresser (formerly WWE Superstar Darren Young), Simon Grimm (formerly Simon Gotch of the Vaudevillains in the WWE), The Blue Meanie, Fallah Bahh, Chase Owens, Sandman, Scott Hall, and former WCW Superstar Glacier.

War Kings (Jax Dane & Crimson) w/ Road Warrior Animal vs. The Boys (Brandon & Brent)

As seen at All In in September, Road Warrior Animal has a new tag team and it’s former IMPACT Wrestling tandem War Kings (previously known as Veterans of War). The War Kings – featuring Crimson and former Ring of Honor star Jax Dane – are a bruising tandem of powerhouses, and with a manager like Animal, they will be sure to dish out the pain. Their poor opponents are none other than The Boys, the twins who accompany former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle to the ring. Although the two are highly athletic, the War Kings may prove to be too strong for them.

VCW Heavyweight Championship: Billy Gunn vs. Brandon Scott

Former WWE Superstar Billy Gunn is the current reigning Vanguard Championship Wrestling (VCW) Heavyweight Champion out of Virginia and on Saturday he’s defending it against the man he defeated for the belt back in October of last year. Brandon Scott is a 10-year veteran who is also a regular with MCW Pro (formerly Maryland Championship Wrestling), who previously held the VCW title for an astounding 672 days.

Street Fight: Taya Valkyrie vs. Penelope Ford

Two of the toughest women in the sport suit up for a streetfight at the Wrestlecade Supershow. IMPACT Wrestling Knockout Taya Valkyrie is a formidable fighter and one of the top luchadoras in Mexican history – the Canadian star is a 2x AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, including a record-setting 945 reign from 2014 through 2017. Her opponent is Penelope Ford, one-half of Janelope with Joey Janela, who just came off a big match against Human Tornado last week at GCW’s Joey Janela’s LA Confidential.

Casket Match: Crazzy Steve vs. Vampiro

Photo: Wrestlecade

Two psychopaths clash together in the ring in a Casket Match, that sees former IMPACT Tag Team Champion Crazzy Steve of Decay face off against another Canadian lucha legend in Vampiro. Neither of these men are shy about putting their bodies on the line (or hurting their opponents), so this one will get as physical as it gets.

Kid Kash vs. CW Anderson (with special guest referee Jerry Lynn)

Earlier in the day, Wrestlecade is holding an ECW forum (also available to watch on Fite.tv) featuring a who’s who of former ECW Legends, and a few are mixing it up in the Supershow as well. Kid Kash wrestled with ECW from 1996 through 2001, where he held the ECW World Television Championship, before heading to TNA/IMPACT Wrestling where he became an IMPACT X-Division Champion, as well as the WWE where he won WWE Cruiserweight gold. His opponent is another ECW Legend in CW Anderson, who wrestled with ECW from 1999 to 2001 in Lou E. Dangerously‘s New Dangerous Alliance alongside Chris Chetti, Bill Wyles, Elektra and Erik Watts. And the match’s special guest referee is former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn!

Eli Drake vs. Hurricane Helms

Former IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion (and Gravy Train conductor) Eli Drake will be going one on one with a former 3x WWE Cruiserweight Champion in Hurricane Helms.

Moose & MVP vs. Eddie Edwards & Carlito

The battle between IMPACT Wrestling’s Moose and Eddie Edwards continues to spill across the indies, this time at Wrestlecade. Moose teams up with former 2x WWE US Champion and IWGP Intercontinental Champion MVP to face Eddie Edwards and his tag team partner, former WWE US Champion and 17x WWC Universal Champion Carlito. This one is bound to get ugly.

AML Championship Ladder Match: Caleb Konley (c) vs. Jason Kincaid vs. Psicosis vs. Mil Muertes vs. Marty “The Moth” Martinez vs. Luchasaurus

Photo: Wrestlecade

Assuming he defends his AML Championship the night before, IMPACT’s Caleb Konley will defend it again, this time in a ladder match with some serious contenders. EVOLVE and DDT Pro star Jason Kincaid joins the fray, alongside former 2x WCW Cruiserweight Champion Psicosis, plus a trio of terrors from Lucha Underground. Former LU Champions Mil Muertes and Marty “The Moth” Martinez, along with Luchasaurus (aka The Snake Tribe’s Vibora), to try and take the AML title from Konley.

Johnny Impact & PJ Black (w/ Taya Valkyrie) vs. Ultimo Dragon & Juventud Guerrera (w/ Sonny Onoo)

Photo: Wrestlecade

A potential Match of the Year candidate in one of the main events, that sees a tag team match of epic proportions. Lucha Underground’s Worldwide Underground is in the house as former LU Champion (and reigning IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion) Johnny Impact/Mundo and PJ Black reunite (with Taya in their corner) to face a legendary lucha pairing featuring 2x WCW Cruiserweight Champion, 2x WCW Television Champion and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Ultimo Dragon teaming up with 3x WCW Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera, with Sonny Onoo in their corner.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis (c) vs. Jake Hager

Photo: Wrestlecade

2x NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis continues his “Ten Pounds of Gold” tour, defending the title around the globe, at events big and small. He comes into the Wrestlecade Supershow for a fight against a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion in Jake Hager (aka Jack Swagger), who also recently captured the Lucha Underground Championship.
