#AndNEW: Bullet Club War Continues as Firing Squad Win NEVER 6-Man Titles

Today at the G1 Finals in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), the strife between the Bullet Club continued and took an explosive turn, as the Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) teamed up with “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori to defeat the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and Marty Scurll for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team titles. Tama and his Firing Squad faction within the Bullet Club – that also includes Bad Luck Fale, younger brother Hikuleo and now Ishimori – have been a constant thorn in NJPW’s side this entire G1 Climax Tournament, causing disqualifications and interferences that actually prompted NJPW President Harold Meij to make a statement on their conduct a few days previous, stating that they would receive a three month suspension if they interfered in any of the remaining G1 Block matches. Following the win, they tossed the belts aside, almost as if the beating on the three members of Being The Elite was more the point than the taking of their titles.

Interestingly, the match was initially just a showcase match, until the Young Bucks asked NJPW President Harold Meij – who was sitting ringside to oversee the match – to make it a title match for the Elite’s NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Ultimately, the Firing Squad trio emerged victorious, but in a show of disrespect, they tossed the titles out of the ring, landing in front of Meij at ringside. As he was leaving up the ramp, Tama Tonga told the camera that “you can keep those titles – this was just to show you what’s up. We can turn it on when we want to, and we can tear it off when we feel like it.”
