Sienna (Allysin Kay) Makes Return to SHINE

At tonight’s SHINE 52 event, former 2x Knockouts Champion Sienna (aka Allysin Kay) made her return to the company, just days after reports that she was finished with Impact Wrestling. As Allysin Kay, she wrestled for SHINE from 2012 through 2017, last wrestling Dementia D’Rose at SHINE 46 last October.

Sienna (Allysin Kay) Makes Return to SHINE

Sienna attacked Ava Storie, who had been using Sienna’s signature pinky gesture, and was announced as one of the eight competitors – joining Storie, Candy Cartwright, Mercedes Martinez, Ivelisse, Santana Garrett, Priscilla Kelly and Stormie Lee – in the upcoming SHINE Championship Tournament at SHINE 53 in Queens, New York on September 4.

Sienna hasn’t wrestled since the January Impact tapings, when she was discovered to have blood clots in both lungs. Since then she’s acted as colour commentator for RISE Wrestling‘s RISE ASCENT television show, but her appearance at SHINE 52 tonight would indicate she’s been cleared to return to the ring. Interestingly enough, Sienna was always able to work with SHINE while under contract with Impact Wrestling, so it will be interesting to see if perhaps Sienna’s departure has anything to do with a possible appearance with the WWE in this year’s Mae Young Classic. SHINE is part of the World Wrestling Network (WWN), the parent company that also owns EVOLVE, which has a working alliance with the WWE.
