Lucha Underground’s Angélico Leaving AAA, Moving To Europe

One of Lucha Underground‘s most electric (and injury prone) stars, South Africa’s Angélico, recently announced he was finishing up with Mexico’s AAA and leaving his home for the past four years, Mexico, and relocating to Spain in 2018.

Angélico, real name Adam Bridle, is a 10-year indie veteran who began in South Africa’s Pro Wrestling Alliance: Africa in 2007, before leaving for Spain and working for Nu Wrestling Evolution (NWE), where he was trained in lucha libre by Ultimo Dragon and AAA’s Bengala. He went to Mexico in 2008, working various promotions like Toryumon, International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), before becoming a regular for AAA in 2013. In 2014, he took part in AAA’s US co-production, Lucha Underground, where he was teamed with Ivelisse and Son of Havoc (Matt Cross), winning the LU Trios Championship twice. Angélico became famous with an insane dive during a Lucha Underground episode back in 2015.

No word yet if Angélico is returning for the recently announced Season 4 for Lucha Underground, but he’s been dabbling in the UK scene of late, working for WCPW (now Defiant Wrestling), RevPro, SWE, Fight Club: PRO and others, not to mention Germany’s wXw. If he’s basing out of Barcelona, Spain, chances are he’ll become a regular for Barcelona’s premier wrestling promotion, Revolution Championship Wrestling (RCW).
