BREAKING: Impact Releases Jeff Jarrett Following Weekend Incident

The announcement comes following an incident over the weekend with Real Canadian Wrestling (RCW) in Calgary, where Jeff Jarrett had been booked to appear at two RCW shows, one in Calgary on Friday and one in Edmonton on Saturday. Jeff Jarrett apparently showed up drunk for his appearance at Friday’s Calgary show and then no-showed the following night’s show in Edmonton, choosing instead to fly home on his own accord.

One audience member at the Calgary show posted a scathing rant at RCW over the conduct showed by the former World Champion.

Following the incident and finding out that Jarrett had opted to return home instead of make his Edmonton appearance the following day, RCW promoter Steven Ewaschuk issued this statement.

When Jarrett initially left Impact Wrestling the second time this past September, it was initially a leave of absence that many speculated was due to Jarrett’s increasingly agitated and erratic behavior at events throughout 2017, including appearing to be intoxicated at his match at AAA‘s TripleMania XXV in the summer.
