Deonna Purrazzo Has WWE Medical

Earlier today we noted that 10 top women’s indie stars were in Florida, undertaking in WWE pre-screen medicals, indicating they were currently anticipated competitors in the upcoming Mae Young Classic. The 32-competitor tournament begins taping this Thursday and Friday, with the announcement of the full field live on WWE’s Facebook page at 6:30 on Thursday night.

Squared Circle Sirens, who have been breaking the medical list all day long, has just announced that indie darling Deonna Purrazzo is there as well. New Jersey’s Deonna Purrazzo has become a huge star on the indie scene and not because of a high aerial spot or intergender matches, by purely by her hustle. She debuted in 2013 and in the past year she has become one of the most in-demand female wrestlers in the world – in the past two years she has worked as a mercenary, wrestling for the WWE, NXT, Queens of Combat, Ring of Honor, CHIKARA, Impact Wrestling, ECWA, WSU, House of Hardcore, WrestleCircus, Beyond, and recently debuted with both SHIMMER and Stardom. She’s wrestled from bingo halls to arenas and back again, all for the love of the sport. She’s still currently the ECWA Women’s Champion, having held the title for over 500 days.

The time is going to come when the WWE is going to snag her up – she’s been a model employee in the limited appearances she’s had – and if she’s medically cleared for the Mae Young Classic, you may just have your front runner to win it all.
