Tonight at Border City Wrestling‘s March Breakdown event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, former WWE Superstar Chris Masters seemingly debuted for Impact Wrestling, attacking Impact Grand Champion Moose following a title defence against Canadian indie wrestler Randy Reign.

The capacity crowd was informed prior to Moose’s title defence – the first time the Impact Grand Championship was defended in Canada – that it was being taped for the Fight Network, home to Impact Wrestling in Canada (and flagship channel for Anthem Entertainment, owners of Impact Wrestling. Border City Wrestling is co-owned by current Impact Wrestling Vice President of International Development, Scott D’Amore.

Following a three round, pinfall win against Reign, Moose was blindsided by Masters following his victory, who put Moose to sleep with the Masterlock before posing with the Impact Grand Championship title and leaving. Masters announced that he was now known as Chris Adonis, the name he’d mentioned going by several days ago when he announced he’d signed with Impact Wrestling.

No word on when the segment will air, but Adonis did tell Moose he’d be following him to wherever he defended the belt, be it in the United States or even Japan (alluding to Impact’s recent partnership with Pro Wrestling NOAH).
