With the NFL Combine over and done, it’s time for the NFL Draft community to turn their attention to mock drafts. Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs may be defending Super Bowl champions, but that doesn’t mean this roster is devoid of holes. Without further ado, here is a Kansas City Chiefs mock draft roundup from all around the internet.

Daniel Jeremiah 2020 NFL Mock Draft – NFL.com
Ross Blacklock, Defensive Tackle
This pick works on multiple levels. Chris Jones is about to hit free agency, and the Chiefs need to invest in an heir if they cannot re-sign him to a long-term deal. Expecting Ross Blacklock to be as good as Jones is probably asking too much, but he has the skills to be an above-average starter. Even if the Chiefs re-sign Jones, pairing him with Blacklock could give Kansas City and ferocious interior duo. Opposing offenses will have to pass to keep up with Patrick Mahomes, and this duo (along with Frank Clark on the edge) could make life a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks.

A.J. Terrell, Cornerback
The Kansas City Chiefs defense as a whole played better than the sum of their parts. You can’t bank on that happening again, and the Chiefs should address the cornerback position early in the NFL Draft. Fortunately for Kansas City, there is a good amount of cornerback talent in the 2020 draft class. A.J. Terrell isn’t the best cornerback in the class by any means, but he’s sticky in coverage, is fundamentally sound, and should be able to start from Day 1. He’s not the best tackler in the world, but that doesn’t matter too much in today’s pass-happy NFL.
Matt Miller – Bleacher Report
Jeff Gladney, Cornerback [Scouting Report]
Following in a similar vein, Matt Miller expects the Chiefs to improve their secondary. Jeff Gladney can occasionally be beat for a big play, but he’s a physical, in-your-face type of cornerback capable of getting under the skin of opposing receivers. While he doesn’t have the prototypical size to match his play style, his advanced technique should make him a solid NFL starter.
Miller mocked a full three rounds of the NFL Draft, and has the Chiefs taking wide receiver Chase Claypool in the second round and running back Cam Akers in the third. While defense might be the larger issue, both picks do make sense considering Sammy Watkins and Demarcus Robinson might not be back and Damien Williams has yet to be efficient for a full season.
CBS Sports NFL Mock Draft
Kristian Fulton, Cornerback
The Kansas City Chiefs should thank their lucky stars if Kristian Fulton is on the board at pick 32. Jeffrey Okudah is the unquestioned CB1 in this draft class, but Fulton has a case for CB2. The LSU product is a physical, press-man cornerback (notice a trend?) that has an eye for the football and the build to match up against just about anyone. While he still needs time to develop as a zone defender, his upside is unmatched by any of the other late-first round cornerbacks.
