NFL Will Not Discipline Tyreek Hill

This comes after the NFL could not find enough evidence that Tyreek Hill actually did what he was accused of, leaving him off the hook for now.

The final verdict surrounding Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill broke on Friday morning. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported via Twitter that the NFL will not be suspending Hill. This comes after the NFL could not find enough evidence that Hill actually did what his accusations claimed. Hill was accused of a domestic battery incident back in March. He will now be able to return to Chiefs training camp and practices.

Tyreek Hill Will Not Be Suspended

For most Chiefs fans, this is a breath of fresh air. Judging by the conversations on the Internet about Hill’s situation since it happened, fans seem to be divided on whether Hill should be suspended. On Friday, however, it was announced that Hill will face no league discipline.

The NFL coming short of evidence is a rather peculiar case. Often times when the league is called upon to investigate one of its players, it usually — and rather quickly — finds conclusive evidence to hand down a punishment.

Back in August of 2015, Hill pleaded guilty to similar domestic abuse charges. Those charges were brought on by the mother of his child, who was pregnant then. Hill was accused of hitting her in the face and stomach and choking her. As a result, Hill received three years of probation and the charge was dismissed.

In March of this year, Hill’s name was brought up again in domestic violence allegations. Hill’s fiancee, Crystal Espinal, filed a police report that identified their three-year-old son, Zev, as the victim in the incident.

Once again, though, Hill has gotten off the hook without severe punishment. Hopefully, for Hill, the Chiefs, and their fans, Hill can learn from this and devote his full attention to being the star player that he is for Kansas City.
