The Philadelphia Eagles are keeping a key part of their championship-winning defense. According to multiple reports, the team will sign linebacker Nigel Bradham to a five-year deal worth $40 million.

Philadelphia Eagles Re-Sign Nigel Bradham
Bradham spent the previous two seasons with the Eagles after signing a two-year, $7 million deal in 2016. During his time in Philly, he has made 31 regular season appearances, all of which were starts, and racked up 128 unassisted tackles, three sacks, eight pass breakups, an interception and a fumble return touchdown.
The six-year veteran also started all three of the Eagles postseason games en route to the team’s first championship of the Super Bowl era. He registered a sack in Philly’s 15-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the divisional round and a total of 15 tackles throughout the postseason. It included four against the New England Patriots during their 41-33 win in Super Bowl LII.
Bradham initially spent the first four seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills. His most prolific season in Western New York came in 2014 when he finished second on the team with 104 tackles and led all Bills linebackers with seven passes defended and two forced fumbles. But he never created a great deal of havoc in the backfield. He managed just 3.5 sacks in Buffalo, all of which came during his third and fourth years with the team.
The Bills initially drafted the Crawfordsville, FL native in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. Bradham played collegiately at Florida State and was a regular contributor during all four years of his time in Tallahassee. He made a total of 39 starts for the Seminoles and was the team’s leading tackler as a sophomore, junior and senior. He also came up with two interceptions in his senior year which was second on the team behind Lemarcus Joyner.
