Chris Olave Injury Update: Star WR’s Status Revealed For Saints-Titans

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is officially questionable with a back injury, but it appears as though this ailment won’t keep him from seeing the field on Sunday. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the wide receiver “should be full go with no restrictions.” Barring an unexpected setback, look for the former first-round pick to serve as the top option in the passing attack as New Orleans faces off against the 3-12 Tennessee Titans.

Chris Olave Injury Update: Saints WR’s Status Revealed vs Titans

This isn’t the first time Chris Olave showed up on the injury report with a back injury, but the ailment hasn’t slowed him down in the past. The wide receiver had arguably the best game of his career last week, hauling in 10 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 16 targets while guiding the Saints to a comfortable 29-6 victory over the New York Jets.

Olave and the Saints enter Week 17 on the heels of a three-game winning streak. After a slow start to the season, the team appears to have found some fire with rookie quarterback Tyler Shough under center. They took down the Buccaneers, Panthers, and Jets in consecutive weeks and now have a great opportunity to continue their win streak against the Tennessee Titans. First-overall pick Cam Ward has shown promise throughout the 2025 season, but he’s not ready to overcome the terrible supporting cast and coaching. While it’s too late for the Saints to make the playoffs, this late-season hot streak gives the team something to be excited for in 2026.

Despite the back injury, Chris Olave is in the midst of arguably his best season to date. In 15 games, the Ohio State product has recorded 92 receptions for 1,044 yards and eight touchdowns on 145 targets.
