Davante Adams Injury Update: Star WR’s Status Revealed For Seahawks-Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have arguably their biggest game of the season this Sunday, and Davante Adams could miss the contest with an oblique injury. While the aging veteran is playing through pain, head coach Sean McVay says he expects Adams to suit up when the Rams host Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks.

“I do [expect him to play], yeah,” McVay said, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “I do, yeah. That’s what he tells me. He’s feeling good and I trust the man. He’ll be ready.”

Davante Adams Injury Update: Rams WR “Feeling Good,” Expected to Play Sunday

A lot can happen between now and Sunday, but barring any unforeseen setbacks, it sounds like this oblique injury will not sideline Davante Adams in Week 11. While Adams is 33 and well past the age where most receivers start slowing down, the three-time All-Pro is in the midst of another strong season. Starting and appearing in nine games, the veteran has recorded 42 receptions for 568 yards and a league-best nine touchdowns while catching passes from MVP candidate Matthew Stafford. After spending the 2024 season with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets, Adams and Puka Nacua have formed one of the game’s best receiving duos during his first season with the team.

The Rams will need Adams on Sunday, as this game could have long-lasting impacts on the playoff picture. The Rams and Seahawks enter Week 11 with identical 7-2 records, tied for the NFC West lead and the best record in the conference. Depending on what happens with the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles, the winner could have an inside track to homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, while the loser might have to travel in the Wild Card round.
