Ravens Star “Probably Auditioning For New Team” In 2025

Tight end Mark Andrews has been one of the best players on the Baltimore Ravens for the past few years, but the former third-round pick may be entering his final season with the team. Now entering his age-30 season, Andrews had a solid enough 2024 on paper but had a disastrous final game, fumbling and dropping a key two-point conversion in Baltimore’s playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.

While the Ravens retained his services for the 2025 season, Joel Corry of CBS Sports believes Mark Andrews will not return to the team in 2026. Calling the upcoming season a bounce-back opportunity, the NFL analyst made his case for why Andrews may not be a Raven beyond the upcoming season.

“The Ravens have a succession plan in place at tight end with Isaiah Likely, who was a 2022 fourth-round pick,” Corry writes. “Andrews, who turns 30 on Sept. 6 and is in a contract year, is probably auditioning for his next team this season since it’s hard to envision the Ravens making a significant investment in two tight ends in 2026.”

Mark Andrews Could Be Entering Final Season With Baltimore Ravens

This is a fair assessment, as Isaiah Likely is more than capable of being the top tight end on a depth chart. However, it’s not entirely fair to suggest that Andrews had a bad season last year. While he struggled against the Bills, his overall body of work was positive last year. Appearing in all 17 games, the tight end finished the year with 55 receptions for 673 yards, 11 touchdowns, and an 83.1 PFF grade, the fourth-best mark in the league.

Assuming he can recapture that level of play, some team will probably make an offer the Ravens can’t match.
