Ravens Free Agent’s Old Lamar Jackson Tweet Resurfaces After Signing

Quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry, and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are all Baltimore Ravens, and the latest signing made a five-year-old tweet go viral. Back in 2020, Hopkins posted a picture of the three and captioned it “how many TD’s would this trio total.” Now, the organization has the opportunity to answer that question.

Old DeAndre Hopkins Tweet Goes Viral After Ravens Signing

At the time of the original tweet, none of these players were on the same team. Lamar Jackson was coming off a breakout season where he won his first MVP award, Henry led the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, and Hopkins had won First-Team All-Pro honors after hauling in 104 receptions for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns. At the time, pairing these three together would have created a near-unstoppable offense.

Lamar Jackson remains one of the game’s best quarterbacks, as he narrowly missed his third MVP award following another dominant season. Henry, meanwhile, made the most of his first year in Baltimore, rushing for 1,921 yards and a league-best 16 touchdowns. Were it not for Saquon Barkley’s historical season, Henry likely would have won First-Team All-Pro honors as well, despite playing in his age-30 season.

Even though he sent the tweet, the present-day version of DeAndre Hopkins is probably the weakest member of this trio. While he’s still a solid wide receiver, he’s no longer a game-changing talent that keeps defensive coordinators up at night. Spending time with the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs, the wideout finished the 2024 season with a combined 56 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns.

While Jackson and Henry will be crucial parts of the offense, Hopkins probably won’t be anything more than the second or third receiver in the passing attack. Pro Bowler Zay Flowers is one of the league’s better up-and-coming receivers, while Rashod Bateman is a solid starter in his own right. Jackson, Henry, and Hopkins will score plenty of touchdowns in 2025, but the trio aren’t as lethal as they would have been in 2020.
