Six-year veteran wide receiver Marquise Brown has signed a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Brown, a former first-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Kansas City Chiefs but has also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals.

Marquise Brown, Kansas City Chiefs, Agree to Contract
After spending his past two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Marquise Brown to a cost-effective one-year contract. Brought on to improve on Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s production, the veteran suffered a preseason injury that sidelined him for most of the season.
Fortunately, he returned late in the regular season, hauling in nine receptions for 91 yards in two regular season games. Brown helped the team reach the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season but lost in blowout fashion to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Marquise Brown originally entered the league as a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Selected by the Baltimore Ravens, the Oklahoma product immediately established himself as a big-play threat in the offense. Paired with Lamar Jackson, Brown finished his inaugural season with 46 receptions for 584 yards and seven touchdowns as Jackson won MVP honors.
The wide receiver continued to improve over the next two seasons, finishing the 2021 campaign with 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. However, he grew frustrated with then-offensive coordinator Greg Roman and requested a trade. Baltimore granted his request and sent him to the Arizona Cardinals.
While injuries limited him to just 12 games, Brown had a solid 2022 with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. While on the field, the first-round pick recorded 67 receptions for 709 yards and three touchdowns. His numbers took a dip in 2023, but that was mostly due to the quarterback situation. Marquise Brown finished the final season of his rookie contract with 51 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns while catching passes from Josh Dobbs, Clayton Tune, and a visibly rusty Kyler Murray.
