The Kansas City Chiefs look to be legitimate playoff contenders again this year. Despite injuries taking away multiple key players, the depth of this team has allowed them not only to remain respectable but to thrive. They have a defense that was top five in the league last year coupled with a highly efficient offense. The Chiefs possess a dominant run game to carry them, but what they need to propel them to the next step as Super Bowl contenders is a legitimate wide receiver opposite Jeremy Maclin.
Tyreek Hill Will Answer Chiefs Second Wide Receiver Questions
When it comes to receivers the Chiefs have a big playmaker, Jeremy Maclin, and then a big question mark lining up on the other side. Although Tyreek Hill caught only one pass on Sunday, he has the tools to step up as the true number two. What stands out above anything else is that he is fast. Freaky fast. Hill ran a blazing 4.25 second 40, which is .01 slower than the record holder, Chris Johnson.
Hill’s lightning speed can be absolutely deadly to defenders. Tyreek Hill is essentially a “pocket knife” back. He is incredibly versatile. If Alex Smith hits him with a deep pass and he slips behind the defense, the jets are on and Hill will race right by them and into the end zone. Get him the ball on a screen play and his excellent speed can pick up big chunks of yardage.

Chris Conley, who they started in this role last week, is in his second pro season. His stats so far are 21 catches and a single touchdown to his name. Albert Wilson is in his third year.
