The New Orleans Saints or Carolina Panthers are favorites for superstar receiver, Davante Adams in a trade this upcoming season. According to Bleacher Report, the Raiders could unload on the playmaker if they have another season where they’re not going anywhere. The regular season is around the corner and the NFL trade deadline may be far but it’s coming soon so the possibility of Adams suiting up for a new team midseason is high. Trade speculations around Adams were buzzing so loud that his agent had to come out to state that the rumors were “baseless speculation.”

It could come true if Adams continues to show his frustration after playing with Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo, Aidan O’Connell and now will with Gardner Minshew next. The veteran was showing his frustration with the quarterback situation captured in Netflix’s “Receiver” show. It’s fair to think that it’s probably not going to be any different this upcoming season as he will most likely become a hot topic again if the Raiders are having another losing season. The 31-year-old still has two years on his current contract and the Raiders would clear $17.5 million by trading him.

Las Vegas wouldn’t want to waste talent so the best they could do is get the best value in return for Adams’ services. The reunion of Carr and Adams could intrigue him being that the two have chemistry and the Saints don’t have playmakers other than Chris Olave. It would drastically change the New Orleans offense in a good way. However, the Panthers have been creating a supporting cast for Bryce Young after trading for Diontae Johnson and drafting Xavier Legette.

Since Adam Thielen is getting older, it would be safe to acquire a receiver that will take them to the Super Bowl early.

Other Trade Destinations

Kansas City Chiefs

Adams probably doesn’t want to play with a quarterback that is producing poor play again so his best destination is teaming with Patrick Mahomes. No one should expect the Raiders to trade their best player to their roster to their rival so it would have to be at the right price. After losing Kadarius Toney, the Chiefs could change this team around by getting Adams in the mix to help accommodate Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. Marquise Brown isn’t coming back until midseason and it’s unclear what he can produce in just one season with the team.

Rice doesn’t plan to miss time since dealing with offseason troubles but they could use some help to give Mahomes another weapon. This trade would shock the league and it would put the Chiefs in the Super Bowl conversations again. Adams would have his best chance at a ring with the team after producing so many stats for teams regardless of the lackluster quarterbacks he’s been dealing with.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens’ offense will always be on fire as long as Lamar Jackson is around. However, they could keep up with the Chiefs by making the Jack-of-all-trades by acquiring Adams in a blockbuster deal if they’re having a struggling season. Baltimore’s defense may be keeping the team intact this season since the only weapons they have are Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Even though they have a strong duo in Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely for the passing game as well, it wouldn’t hurt to add one of the best receivers in the game.

Adams is capable of turning an already good team into a superstar roster that’s dangerous in the passing attack.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have been building all offseason after acquiring Jim Harbaugh to build a new regime around Justin Herbert. After moving on from Mike Williams and Keenan, the team hasn’t been doing anything special to replace them. Ladd McConkey is the only playmaker in their passing attack that may produce big numbers but he’s only a rookie so it depends on how they use him. However, guys like Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer and DJ Chark don’t look to have promising long-term abilities to turn this offense into a championship team one day.

If they can’t get the job done this season then they could turn to Adams who is one of the best today and improve this offense on day one.
