Quarterbacks are one of the most important positions in fantasy football and while everyone has their favorite quarterbacks they like to draft, it’s time to rank the best of the best. Here are the top fantasy football quarterbacks in 2024.
Note: This list is not definitive, and players within tiers can move around. Players on the borderline between tiers can also be interchangeable.
Drew’s Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings 2024
Quarterbacks 1-5
1. Josh Allen
2. Patrick Mahomes
3. Lamar Jackson
4. C.J. Stroud
5. Jalen Hurts
Josh Allen is without a doubt the best quarterback to own in fantasy. He’s a dual threat quarterback who loves to run the ball in for touchdowns as much as he likes to throw them. It’s hard to not have Patrick Mahomes right behind as arguably the most talented quarterback in the league.

Jalen Hurts is a player that some consider to be the best option behind Allen, but his fantasy numbers have declined each of the last two seasons. With Saquon Barkley there to potentially take away even more points from rushing touchdowns, Hurts is a little lower but still among the best of the best.
Quarterbacks 6-10
6. Anthony Richardson
7. Joe Burrow
8. Jordan Love
9. Dak Prescott
10. Jayden Daniels
Anthony Richardson certainly made a case to be in the 1-5 range, but he only played in four games last year. Not having much experience drops him into the second tier just ahead of Joe Burrow and Jordan Love. Burrow also has some of those same injury concerns as Richardson.
Jayden Daniels is a quarterback who can be very underrated in 2024 which is why he sneaks into the Top 10. Daniels is another dual-threat quarterback who has a very strong arm. He’s impressed Dan Quinn and the Commanders coaching staff this entire preseason, and he should have a great rookie campaign.

Quarterbacks 11-15
11. Brock Purdy
12. Kyler Murray
13. Caleb Williams
14. Aaron Rodgers
15. Kirk Cousins
Kyler Murray behind Brock Purdy may come as a bit of a surprise, but you should be able to put the puzzle pieces together. While Purdy has only played one season, he doesn’t have the injury issues like Murray does. Having a steady quarterback who won’t miss much time is crucial for fantasy football.
Caleb Williams comes in just ahead Aaron Rodgers as his upside is just too much to ignore. Williams has an extremely underrated wide receiver room this year, and the Bears finally look like they can take a step forward this fall. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Williams make a push for the second tier.

Quarterbacks 16-20
16. Jared Goff
17. Justin Herbert
18. Trevor Lawrence
19. Tua Tagovailoa
20. Baker Mayfield
Jared Goff has consistently one of the better quarterbacks in fantasy football over the last few years. It allows him to sneak into the upper half ahead of Justin Herbert or Trevor Lawrence. Goff’s connection with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta puts him on track to have another season of 30+ touchdowns and 4,000+ passing yards.

Despite his struggles in the second half of last season, Tua Tagovailoa gets the benefit of the doubt and sneaks into the list. He’s getting the benefit of the doubt here given what he’s done in the past and how he started last season as one of the best for fantasy. Baker Mayfield may seem like a surprise, but the former Browns quarterback has revived his career in Tampa Bay.
