Jacquizz Rodgers is coming back to Tampa Bay.
The Bucccaneers signed him to a two-year $3.3 million on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter citing sources. Rodgers spent the previous season in Tampa on a one-year, $760,000 contract. He counted $564,706 against the Bucs salary cap in 2016.
Per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Rodgers has a chance to earn an extra $1 million in incentives.

Jacquizz Rodgers Signs Two-Year, $3.3 Million Deal With Tampa Bay Bucs
The 27-year-old Rodgers enjoyed his most prolific campaign as a pro last year. He finished with a career best 560 rushing yards, a total which also led all Buccaneer running backs. His best performance of the year came in Week Seven when he rushed for 154 yards in a 34-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Overall, Rodgers rushed for 100 or more yards on two separate occasions. Prior to 2016, he had yet to do so during his career.
A year earlier, Rodgers played for the Chicago Bears but rarely saw the field. He totaled just 14 carries for 41 yards before breaking his arm in Week Five, an 18-17 win over Kansas City. The Bears placed Rodgers on injured reserve the following day, ending his season.
Rodgers spent the first four years of his pro career with the Atlanta Falcons. He appeared in all but one regular season game during his stint in Atlanta, making five starts. Against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2013 Divisional Round, Rodgers carried the ball ten times for 64 yards as the Falcons won 30-28.
The Falcons originally drafted Rodgers in the fifth round (145th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. Before that, he starred collegiately at Oregon State where he rushed for over 1,000 yards in all three of his seasons in Corvallis. As a freshman, Rodgers earned 2008 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year honors.
The Richmond, TX native established himself as one of the Oregon State program’s best all-time backs. His 3,877 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns on the ground are both second in school history.
