Waiver Wire Week 15 – Rico Dowdle, Zay Jones and More

The waiver wire for Week 15 isn't the most star studded group. But then again, Rashaad Penny was off of fantasy radars in 2021.

If playoffs didn’t start in Week 14, they will start in Week 15. Double check that Ezekiel Elliot and Tyjae Spears aren’t available, if they are then scoop them up. Otherwise, the Week 15 waiver wire has some interesting options all over the place, with no sure-fire plug-and-play options.

Waiver Wire Week 15 – Rico Dowdle, Zay Jones and More

Rico Dowdle, Running Back Dallas Cowboys

How bout them Cowboys? In a complete dismantling of the Philadelphia Eagles the Dallas Cowboys crushed it on the ground. While Tony Pollard outcarried Dowdle 16 to 12, Dowdle got the touchdown and looked to have more juice on the field. Dowdle gets a positive matchup against Buffalo next week before two stout defenses in Miami and Detroit. He’s a handcuff with FLEX appeal next week. Rico Dowdle is available in 82% of leagues on ESPN

Ty Chandler, Running Back Minnesota Vikings

Alexander Mattison left their Week 14 game with an ankle injury. Whether he’s out for Week 15 or not, Ty Chandler is a must grab on waivers. He’s looked like their best running back since the preseason, but now he finally gets to showcase it down the stretch. Ty Chandler is available in 77% of leagues on ESPN.

Zay Jones, Wide Receiver Jacksonville Jaguars

This may come as a bit of a surprise, but Jones had 14 targets on Sunday. This is a surprise because it only turned into five catches for less than eight fantasy points. Christian Kirk underwent surgery and will likely miss the rest of the fantasy season, so Jones is locked in as the number two receiver in Jacksonville. Zay Jones is available in 73% of leagues on ESPN.

Odell Beckham Jr, Wide Receiver Baltimore Ravens

Fine. Add him. It’s been weeks that he’s flirted with this list, and every week it seems like it’s unsustainable. With Andrews out, Flowers dropping passes and Lamar looking for a reliable option Beckham has become fantasy relevant again. He’s had at least five targets in his last three games, and gets two of the easiest matchups for fantasy wide receivers the next two games. It’s not pretty, but OBJ might be a league winner. Odell Beckham Jr. is available in 50% of leagues on ESPN.

Noah Fant, Tight End Seattle Seahawks

Tight end isn’t pretty. Streaming tight ends in the playoffs is even worse. Fant has been playing the majority of snaps, and gets a plus matchup against the Eagles next week. He won’t set the world on fire, but he can keep teams afloat if they need it. Noah Fant is available in over 90% of leagues on ESPN.

Los Angeles Chargers D/ST

Back to the well on teams playing bad offenses. The Las Vegas Raiders are giving up 9.2 fantasy points per game to the D/ST slot. It’s not likely the Chargers try and turn this into a shootout with Justin Herbert out for the week, so running the clock out and playing safe defense is the play. They won’t give teams a huge fantasy game, but they likely won’t go negative either which is nice for a waiver wire pickup in the playoffs.
