Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham made his return to the spotlight thanks to the Fanatics flag football game, and this glorified exhibition could put him back in the NFL. A first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the LSU product used to be one of the game’s elite wide receivers. However, he suffered a torn ACL in Super Bowl LVI and never quite recaptured his old form. After missing the 2022 season, Beckham spent 2023 with the Baltimore Ravens, 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, and 2025 on the couch.
Despite his extended absence, Odell Beckham wants to return to the NFL, and NFL insider Jordan Schultz says it could happen. In a recent tweet, Schultz said Beckham “received renewed interest” following the game and could sign with a new team. While it’s anyone’s guess if this will actually happen, one of the following three teams could roll the dice on the veteran wideout.
3 Teams That Could Sign Odell Beckham Amidst NFL Return Rumors
New York Giants
Why not? Beckham enjoyed the best years of his career with the New York Giants, so it only makes sense for him to bring his career full circle. The Giants have a star wide receiver in Malik Nabers, but the former top-six pick is coming off a devastating knee injury of his own. Wan’Dale Robinson, meanwhile, signed with the Tennessee Titans following his breakout season.
This leaves New York perilously thin at the wide receiver position, and Odell Beckham could return to his original team and help second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart build on his promising rookie season. As an added bonus, John Harbaugh coached Beckham when the two were with the Baltimore Ravens, so he should know what he’s signing up for.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders will almost certainly select Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza with the first-overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the quarterback should be an upgrade on Geno Smith. However, he’s far from a perfect prospect and will need more support to reach his ceiling. While third-year tight end Brock Bowers is already one of the game’s best receiving tight ends, the wide receiver depth chart needs some work. Tre Tucker, Jalen Naiolor, and Jack Bech are currently the top three options, and that is not a good thing.
No quarterback can succeed without help, and this trio won’t be enough for Mendoza to carry an offense, espeically in a tough division like the AFC West. Odell Beckham may not be the player he once was, but he could make his return on the Raiders and immediately carve out a role for himself.
Baltimore Ravens
Speaking of reunions, the Baltimore Ravens might as well kick the tires on their former wide receiver. Beckham only played one year in Baltimore, but he showed some signs of life with a 35-catch, 565-yard season. The Ravens don’t have much depth at the position aside from former first-round pick Zay Flowers, and General Manager Eric DeCosta has a history of pursuing low-risk veterans to see if they have anything left in their tank. Perhaps Beckham can salvage his career by reuniting with two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.
