Initially out of Steven F. Austin, Franklin-Myers was a fourth-round pick of the Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Franklin-Myers played 301 snaps and appeared in all 16 games. He amassed 10 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. However, after that season, he was waived in the roster cuts the following August.

Franklin-Myers was then claimed by the Jets, but he spent the entirety of the 2019 season on injured reserve. In 2020, he got back into the rotation, playing in 15 games for 500 snaps. In that time, Franklin-Myers amassed 19 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He was rewarded with a four-year deal with the Jets at the beginning of the 2021 season.

His 2021 season was better, amassing 35 tackles, six tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, one pass breakup, and even one interception in his first 16-start season. He continued starting for the Jets in 2022 and totaled 38 tackles, four tackles for loss, five sacks, and a pass breakup.

2023 proved to be his final year with the Jets. In 17 games, Franklin-Myers amassed 33 tackles, six tackles for loss, three-and-a-half sacks, and three pass breakups.

Then, ahead of the 2024 season, Franklin-Myers was traded to the Broncos for a 2026 sixth-round pick. He signed a two-year deal with the Broncos in the wake of the trade. In his first season in Denver, Franklin-Myers had a career year with 40 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and seven sacks.

Last year, it was more of the same with 25 tackles, six tackles for loss, and seven-and-a-half sacks.
