CeeDee Lamb Injury

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update: Star Receiver’s Status Revealed For Cowboys-Vikings

The Dallas Cowboys are still alive in the playoff race, and CeeDee Lamb’s injury status could determine whether this team plays meaningful football in January. While a lot can change between now and Sunday Night’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings, all signs point towards Lamb passing concussion protocol. According to head coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys top receiver is still in concussion protocol but only needs to clear two more hurdles before he’s ready to play.

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update: Star WR Likely To Clear Concussion Protocal For Cowboys-Vikings

While a concussion limited him to just a 46% snap share, CeeDee Lamb still had a strong outing against the Detroit Lions in Week 14. Starring in a shootout, the wideout finished the night with six receptions for 121 yards on eight targets in the 44-30 loss. Ryan Flournoy stepped up with Lamb sidelined, finishing his night with nine receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets. While it looks like Lamb will play, Flournoy proved he’s more than capable of being a short-term starter if the Pro Bowler needs another week to recover.

The Cowboys currently find themselves with a 6-6-1 record, trailing the Philadelphia Eagles by a game and a half. While its odds of making the playoffs are slim, Dallas is still alive and could capitalize on an Eagles team that hasn’t looked quite right all season long. However, their only hope involves winning out, and their odds of doing that increase dramatically if CeeDee Lamb can overcome this injury. When paired with George Pickens, the Cowboys have arguably the league’s best wide receiver duo and a passing attack capable of winning any matchup on any given week.
