1. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are back in the postseason conversation with a chance to play in a wild-card matchup in January. After coming back from a 21-0 deficit, the season is far from over for this team. Cornerback Trevon Diggs is reportedly improving, but it’s hard to see him in a Cowboy uniform for next season. After dealing with injuries and inconsistency issues, he becomes a cut candidate due to the salary cap.
They already waived Kaiir Elam, and while they tried to find depth in Robert Rochell and other unproven talents, it hasn’t paved much of anything. Even though the Cowboys’ secondary found some life in the matchup against the Eagles, the team should consider Maulet. He could be a perfect fit for a season to help DaRon Bland as the leader of this group.
