5. Tennessee Titans
Statistically speaking, Cam Ward’s rookie season has not gone well, but you can’t blame the first-overall pick for failing to produce in a disastrous environment. The Tennessee Titans have arguably the league’s worst combination of skill position players, coaching, and offensive line talent, and it’s made it impossible for Ward to reach his ceiling. While the quarterback is the most important part of any rebuild, nobody can succeed without a little bit of support.
Brandon Aiyuk won’t singlehandedly fix this team, but he’d easily be the best weapon on this roster. Additionally, the Tennessee Titans are projected to have over $108 million in cap space next year, so signing Aiyuk won’t prevent them from updating the rest of the roster. Cam Ward may or may not be a franchise quarterback, but the Titans will never know for sure until they give him the tools to succeed.
