NFC South

Atlanta Falcons – Michael Penix Jr. leaves the game, and Kirk Cousins was unable to carry them to a victory. The defense did Cousins and the offense no favors by giving up 448 passing yards to Bryce Young. Atlanta moves to 3-7.
Carolina Panthers – The Panthers are legitimately in the playoff hunt AND the division crown race after defeating the Falcons in overtime 30-27. Bryce Young brushes off an in-game injury and throws for nearly 450 yards and three touchdowns, and Carolina is just one game back of Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Sean Tucker’s three-touchdown day was spoiled by Josh Allen’s six touchdowns. The Bucs fall 44-32, and their division lead narrows as Carolina is slowly creeping up.
