Rashid Shaheed Trade

Breaking: Saints Homegrown Star Could Be Playing Final Game With Team

1. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have the biggest competitive advantage in football: a franchise quarterback on a rookie contract. Drake Maye is playing at an absurd level and is piloting one of the game’s top offenses despite not having much talent at wide receiver. Stefon Diggs proved he still has some juice in his tank, and Kayshon Boutte is proving he belongs in the NFL, but that’s about it right now. Maye already throws one of the prettiest deep balls in the league, so imagine what he could do after a Rashid Shaheed trade.

Maye is putting up ridiculous numbers on his deep passing attempts despite not having a traditional deep threat. The Patriots have their quarterback of the future, and now is the time to capitalize on his rookie window.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (10) fires the ball downfield during the first quarter against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025.
