3. Trevor Penning
Trevor Penning never worked out with the New Orleans Saints, but perhaps another team could roll the dice on him at the trade deadline. Selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Northern Iowa product has extensive experience at both tackle positions and is currently playing guard for Kellen Moore’s squad.
Truth be told, Trevor Penning is not a starting-caliber offensive lineman. With that being said, there aren’t enough good linemen to go around, and Penning’s versatility should be appealing to teams with questionable depth in the trenches. While he probably won’t generate more than a late-round pick in a trade, that’s still better than watching him walk for nothing in free agency.
