Tucker Kraft Injury Update: Packers Star TE’s Availability Against Browns In Question

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury in Week 2 that could keep him out for Week 3’s battle against the Cleveland Browns. Following a career game when he recorded six receptions for 124 yards and one touchdown on seven targets, the tight end missed practice on Friday, and head coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t commit to him playing on Sunday. The good news is that LaFleur said the third-year tight end probably won’t need to go on the injured reserve.

Tucker Kraft Injury Update: Packers TE Misses Practice, Might Not Play Week 3

Tucker Kraft originally entered the league as a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Selected by the Green Bay Packers, the South Dakota State product began his career on a promising note. Appearing in all 17 games while recording eight starts, Kraft finished his inaugural season with 31 receptions for 355 yards and two touchdowns on 40 targets. He built on this promising debut in 2024, earning a full-time starting job while recording 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns.

Even if the knee injury sidelines Tucker Kraft in Week 3, the Green Bay Packers should be able to comfortably take down the Cleveland Browns. Jordan Love is playing some of his best football, the offense has plenty of playmakers even without Kraft, and the defense looks elite and should only improve as star pass rusher Micah Parsons becomes more comfortable with the scheme.

The Browns, meanwhile, enter the contest 0-2 with one of the league’s weaker rosters. Joe Flacco isn’t an active liability, but the former Super Bowl MVP is well past his prime. The defense, while solid, isn’t good enough to compensate for the weak passing attack, and Green Bay should come out with a win in this contest.
