Jalen Ramsey Trade

REPORT: Dolphins Still “Likely” To Trade All-Pro

The 2025 NFL Draft came and went without a Jalen Ramsey trade. Widely considered to be one of the league’s premier talents at the peak of his career, the former first-round pick has slowed down a bit but remains an above-average starter. Last year, the seven-time Pro Bowler started all 17 games while recording two interceptions, 11 passes defended, and a 76.9 PFF grade, the 10th-best mark out of 116 eligible players. Now entering his age-31 season, Ramsey is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but still has some good football left in his tank.

Unfortunately, he has probably played his last snap with the Dolphins. Jalen Ramsey trade rumors broke out before the NFL Draft, with both player and team saying that a split would be mutually beneficial. While nothing happened during the draft, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that a trade is still likely. This makes sense, as Ramsey is considerably cheaper to trade after June 1st, as the Dolphins can spread his dead money out over multiple seasons.

REPORT: Dolphins Still “Likely” To Trade Jalen Ramsey

Possible Suitors

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are the leaders in the Jalen Ramsey trade sweepstakes, and it’s easy to see why. Matthew Stafford is playing on a year-to-year basis at this stage in his career, and the offseason addition of wide receiver Davante Adams suggests this team will go all-in on the 2025 season. Ramsey helped guide Los Angeles to a championship in 2021, so bringing him back for one last run makes all the sense in the world. The team narrowly lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s playoffs, and Ramsey could be enough to get them over the hump.

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings only made five selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, with only two coming in the first four rounds. They didn’t have the draft capital to address their needs, but now they can trade for a veteran. Even with an inexperienced quarterback in J.J. McCarthy, the Vikings have the talent and coaching ability to make a deep postseason run in the upcoming season. Jalen Ramsey will only increase their odds of winning a competitive NFC North, and a trade could give Minnesota one of the league’s better cornerback duos.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons aggressively addressed the pass rush with two first-round picks, but they still must fix the secondary. Having two promising edge defenders will go a long way towards fixing this defense, but they still must find more players to hold down the back end. The Falcons traded away their 2026 first-round pick, so they must make the playoffs next year to justify the James Pearce trade. A Jalen Ramsey trade will only increase their odds of winning a weak NFC South and potentially going on a playoff run.

Green Bay Packers

Jaire Alexander is still a member of the Green Bay Packers, but that probably won’t be the case in Week 1. The former first-round pick is far too expensive to roster given his long injury history, but the team must find someone to replace him. Jalen Ramsey is a perfect choice for the job, as his lockdown presence should help a team hoping to compete in a division loaded with offensive talent.
