Mekari spent the 2024 season bouncing around a shifting Ravens offensive line. Playing tackle and guard, the California product finished the season with a 59.0 PFF grade, the 50th-best mark out of 76 eligible guards, but it’s worth noting that grade is artificially deflated due to him playing out of position for part of the season. Mekari’s versatility played a pivotal role in helping the Ravens win the AFC North. However, their dreams of a championship ended when they lost a heartbreaker to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round.

Patrick Mekari originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. Signing with the Baltimore Ravens, the California product appeared in 11 games while making five starts. Led by second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Ravens finished the season with the best record in the AFC but went one-and-done in the playoffs following an upset defeat against the Tennessee Titans.

Mekari returned to a reserve role in the COVID-impacted 2020 season. Missing two games thanks to the pandemic, the second-year pro appeared in 14 games while making eight starts. He earned a larger role in 2021, starting in 12 games while making 13 starts. Unfortunately, the Ravens couldn’t make the playoffs following a late-season injury to Lamar Jackson.

Despite his strong play, Mekari returned to a do-everything backup role in 2022 and 2023. Appearing in a combined 33 games while making 11 starts, the undrafted free agent played well when given the opportunity.

Since signing his rookie contract, Patrick Mekari has appeared in 88 games while making 53 starts. While on the field, the California product has made the playoffs but has yet to win or appear in a Super Bowl.
