Preparations for the 2025 fantasy football season are well underway as dynasty managers have their eyes set on the combine. Everyone is talking about the best of the bunch including Ashton Jeanty and Cam Ward. However, this draft class is very deep at the running back and wide receiver positions. These three underrated dynasty prospects are players to keep an eye on as the combine commences on Thursday.
Three Underrated Dynasty Prospects for 2025
Jayden Higgins – Wide Receiver, Iowa State
You can file this under the bold predictions category, but Jayden Higgins has the potential to be this year’s Ladd McConkey. In 2024 with Iowa State, he caught 87 passes for 1,183 yards and nine touchdowns. He recorded over 2,000 receiving yards at Iowa State in the two seasons he was there with 15 touchdowns to his name.
Higgins stands out for dynasty managers partially because of his size. At 6’4 and 215 pounds, he’s a huge target that can easily go up and get the ball for his quarterback. For context, elite receivers such as Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase are 6’1 and 6’0 respectively.
Ideally, Higgins would land on a team like the Los Angeles Chargers or the Buffalo Bills. Both quarterbacks have strong arms and love throwing the ball down field. Higgins averaged just under 15 yards per reception in college, and he is someone to monitor for dynasty leagues.
Devin Neal – Running Back, Kansas
Devin Neal may be the most underrated running back in this draft class. He produced three straight 1,000-yard seasons at Kansas with 41 touchdowns. Neal averaged 6.1 yards per carry in his final three years with the Jayhawks. He is certainly a player who can make an impact in fantasy leagues in 2025.
Neal’s vision as a running back is one of the traits that makes his so dynamic as he creates something out of nothing frequently. Even at 5’11 and 215 pounds, he is able to force his way through the smallest of holes and burst into space. Neal quickly finds that second gear and leaves defenders in the dust.
His versatility is something that could make him the lead running back or have him serve as the change-of-pace back. If the Dallas Cowboys are unable to draft Ashton Jeanty, Neal is certainly a player who could be on their radar. The Pittsburgh Steelers could use an elusive rusher like Neal if Najee Harris signs elsewhere in free agency.
Jack Bech – Wide Receiver, TCU
Jack Bech is another wide receiver who is being overlooked in this 2025 wide receiver class. His heigh is more comparable to Jefferson and Chase at 6’2, Bech is a dynamic playmaker. For the Horned Frogs as a senior, he stepped up big by posting his first 1,000-yard season and catching nine touchdowns.
While it may be a little concerning to see he didn’t really produce until his senior year, he was named Senior Bowl MVP after recording six catches for 68 yards. An important note on Bech as well is he didn’t fumble once his entire collegiate career. He takes pride in securing the ball and picking up yards after contact.
Bech is more of a slot receiver than an outside receiver, but that shouldn’t scare anyone away from him. Chris Godwin has been very successful in the NFL as a slot receiver. Some ideal fantasy fits for Bech would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (if Godwin leaves) or the Cincinnati Bengals. Both Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow would love to have him as a target over the middle of the field.
