After battling injuries throughout the past two seasons, J.K. Dobbins entered the final year of his contract looking to prove to the world that he could stay healthy. Unfortunately, this was not meant to be, as the second-round pick’s season ended before it could ever truly begin. Dobbins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1, ending his year after just eight carries for 22 yards and one touchdown to go along with two receptions for 15 yards. The Ravens fared well without him, finishing with the best record in football and making it to the AFC Championship Game.

J.K. Dobbins originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Selected by the Baltimore Ravens, the Ohio State product spent the majority of his rookie season splitting carries with Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards. Appearing in 15 games while making one start, Dobbins finished his inaugural season with 805 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 134 carries (6.0 yards per carry) to go along with 18 receptions for 120 yards.

With Ingram departing in 2021, Dobbins was supposed to take over as the lead back in Baltimore’s backfield. However, the running back suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the preseason, forcing him to miss the entire campaign. He eventually returned to the field in early in 2022, but it didn’t take long before he re-aggravated his knee injury. In total, Dobbins appeared in just eight games, recording 520 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 92 carries.

J.K. Dobbins has appeared in 24 games since signing his rookie contract while making 10 starts. During his time on the field, the Ohio State product has recorded 1,347 yards and 12 touchdowns on 234 attempts (5.8 yards per attempt) to go along with 27 receptions for 177 yards and an additional touchdown.
