DraftKings Week 2 DFS picks Monday Night Football

There might not be much to tantalize your taste buds from Monday night's matchups in Week 3 but there's always DraftKings.
Week 3 DraftKings DFS

The NFL is serving another two unappetizing dishes on Monday night in Week 3. The Rams and Bengals will battle it out in Cincinnati while the surprising Buccaneers welcome the Eagles. It’s difficult to find many hidden gems between those four teams. But there are still some DraftKings Week 3 DFS bargains to be found.

Three Sure Things And A Longshot

DraftKings Week 3 DFS Trailblazer – Puka Nacua

Yes, it is the most obvious statement anyone has ever made in the history of the universe but hear me out. Nacua has lined up on the right side of the Rams formation 19 times so far this season and Cam Taylor-Britt has been lining up at cornerback on the Bengals right side. Here’s the important part, Taylor-Britt has allowed 91 yards in pass coverage so far in 2023. And while he has successfully defended 6 of the 11 targets thrown his way when he’s failed to defend a pass, opposition receivers are averaging 18.2 yards per completion.

Lou Arunamo will be all too aware of this too, but only D.J Turner has a lower completion rate than Taylor-Britt. And he’s only played 40% of their snaps so far this season. Nacua on the other hand has played 82% of the Rams’ snaps on offense.

Somehow Nacua is cheaper than both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins with DraftKings this week. Nacua has 109 yards more than Chase and Higgins combined!

DraftKings Week 3 DFS Best Supporting Actor – Tutu Atwell

If Arunamo does the unthinkable and doubles up Nacua then Sean McVay and Stafford won’t hesitate in using him as a decoy. And if that happens Atwell will have a field day. He’s caught the majority of his targets so far this season and he’s averaging 15.1 yards per reception.

If you thought Nacua was surprisingly affordable then you’ll love Atwell’s price. He’s $5,200 on DraftKings this week. That’s the same price as Brandin Cooks who has only caught two passes this season.

78% of the Rams yards on offense have come through the air and Nacua and Atwell have been responsible for 72% of the receiving yards.

DraftKings DFS Week 3 Mr. Popular – Cade Otton

Back to the bleeding obvious picks. Regardless of how good you think Otton is there’s no denying he gets plenty of chances. Last week he was a 19% target share and only Durham Smythe has played more of his teams’ snaps in 2023.

Even though he hardly ever leaves the field Otton is still cheaper than Dallas Goedert. Goedert has only caught 75% of his targets this season too, 13.9% below Otton’s catch rate. Otton is just $3,100 and nobody has allowed tight ends to score more fantasy points in 2023 than the Eagles.

DraftKings Week 3 DFS Contrarian Play – Rams D/ST

Might as well for another obvious one, eh? But they’re an absolute bargain. On DraftKings this week they’re valued at $3,000 which would be understandable if they were playing a Bengals firing on all cylinders. But Joe Burrow might not even be standing on two legs, let alone firing on all cylinders.

Week 3’s Longshot – Ben Skowronek

After all those obvious picks it’s time for one straight out of left field. The Bengals had trouble stopping Elijah Moore when they played the Browns. Moore averaged 12 yards per catch and gained 19 yards on two running plays. When the Ravens used their receivers to run the ball the Bengals allowed 21 yards on 4 attempts.

Skowronek has only played 26% of the Rams’ snaps so far this season but he’s averaging 10 yards per rec and 11 yards per rushing attempt. That’s after his one catch and a single run in Week 2, so he’s rounding nicely into form. He’s a risky pick, but he is also just $3,000 on DraftKings. The seventh most expensive receiver in that game.
