FanDuel DFS Picks Thursday Week 2

What are some of the screaming values in FanDuel DFS for Thursday Week 2? The Philadelphia Eagles could run away with this one.
FanDuel DFS Thursday Week 2

The NFL is back, and so is DFS on FanDuel. Daily Fantasy Sports are fun games to supplement regular fantasy football, and FanDuel has some great tournaments this time of year. Thursday’s matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles has some high-scoring options, but who are the best values for FanDuel DFS Thursday Week 2?

FanDuel DFS Picks Thursday Week 2

MVP Pick – Justin Jefferson $16,000

Normally a quarterback should slide into this spot. But the Vikings are reportedly missing their starting center and could struggle early. This caps Kirk Cousins overall upside, and Jalen Hurts could find himself out of the game script early. This leaves the best WR in the game, and the best WR in the NFL as the no-brainer choice.

Risky Value – D’Andre Swift $8,500

Didn’t Swift have 0.8 fantasy points Sunday? Yes. But Kenny Gainwell is dealing with a rib injury ahead of Thursday’s matchup. Even if he does play, it will be on a severely reduced snap count. Rashaad Penny was a healthy scratch on Sunday, which means that Swift is the clear-cut number two back on the team. Swift’s talent is never in question, it’s only playing time.

This whole lineup is based on the Eagles getting up big early and running the game away. This brings us to one of the best strategies in DFS, the stack.

Easy Stack – Eagles Defense $9,500

Jalen Carter led the league in quarterback pressures in his first game. Now Carter and big Jordan Davis get to take turns beating up a backup center. Pray for Austin Schlottman. Cousins is going to be throwing a lot of quick passes, hopefully peppering Jefferson for that sweet sweet MVP bonus.

On FanDuel the defense gets 1.5 points per sack, then bonuses for not giving up points and turnovers forced. Cousins threw a pick and fumbled multiple times against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. How’s he going to fare against one of the best defenses in the game?

Easy Points – Jalen Hurts $17,500

Most lineups are going to have Hurts in the MVP slot. While he is going to have a monster game, taking a slightly different approach can be the difference between a big payout and making seven cents on the dollar. It would be irresponsible to not play him, but Jefferson at the MVP will provide a different ceiling. If all goes well, Hurts will throw a couple of touchdowns early then hand the ball to Swift while Jefferson earns the big money.

Zig While They Zag of the Week – Quez Watkins $8,000

It’s not pretty. But if there’s one player that’s going to have a long touchdown and win someone a million dollars, the smart bet is the speedster WR3 on the better team. All it takes is one big play for him to pay off at his price tag, and the three cheap options let this lineup include two absolute fantasy football monsters. Quez popped for ten or more points four times last season. A blown coverage in the third quarter for the dagger touchdown will have DFS managers and Eagles fans on their feet.
