Luke Kuechly Rumors

NFL Rumors: Luke Kuechly No Longer Working For Panthers, Terry Bradshaw Says Aaron Rodgers Is “Weak”

The NFL Draft may be over, but that doesn’t mean the NFL world comes to a standstill. According to the latest NFL rumors, former All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly has resigned as a pro scout after less than a year on the job. In other news, Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw says that Aaron Rodgers is “weak” for how he is handling his current situation in Green Bay.

NFL Rumors: Luke Kuechly, Terry Bradshaw, Aaron Rodgers

At the peak of his playing career, Luke Kuechly was arguably the best linebacker in the entire NFL. However, concussions forced him into an early retirement, and he planned on spending his post-football career in the scouting world. Sadly, that dream wasn’t meant to be, as the Panthers great reportedly resigned from the position in the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft.

Carolina first hired Kuechly back on June 4th, 2020. At the time of the hire, Kuechly said that he’d “never really done anything like this” and that he thought it would be a fun, enjoyable experience. That apparently wasn’t the case, as the 30-year old has already turned the page on that part of his career.

Nobody knows what the linebacker will do next, although it is possible he turns to the world of broadcasting. At the time of his original retirement, Rapoport and others stated that he was interested in broadcasting, although he could also consider going into coaching.

There really is no underselling how good Luke Kuechly was at the peak of his career. Selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Boston College product started all 16 games as a rookie, leading the league in tackles (164) while recording one sack, one quarterback hit, and two interceptions. This rookie season led into one of the best five-year stretches of play you’ll ever see from the position. Kuechly made four out of five possible All-Pro teams, with the one miss coming in a season where injury limited him to just 10 games.

Terry Bradshaw: Aaron Rodgers Is “Weak”

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers just might be the biggest name in football right now. The reigning MVP is reportedly furious with his team, saying that he won’t return to the team unless Brian Gutekunst is fired. Depending on who you listen to, a combination of sticking with Mike McCarthy too long, drafting quarterback Jordan Love, cutting Jake Kumerow one week after Rodgers praised him, and refusing to add reliable weapons have caused this relationship to reach the point of no return.

As things currently stand, it looks like either Rodgers or Gutekunst will not be back in 2021, and if Terry Bradshaw was in charge of that decision, Rodgers would be out the door. Speaking on WFAN’s Moose and Maggie, Bradshaw said that he “wouldn’t bulge…go ahead and retire. See you later”

Bradshaw added that he didn’t believe Rodgers was dealing with anything that out of the ordinary for a franchise quarterback. Citing his own experiences, Bradshaw noted that he embraced the challenge when the Steelers added quarterbacks Mark Malone and Cliff Stoudt into the mix.

Nobody knows what the future holds for Rodgers or the Green Bay Packers organization, and if push came to shove the Packers would probably choose to keep Rodgers over Gutekunst. However, these comments from Bradshaw are still jarring.
