After sitting out the 2019 season, Gronkowski returned to the football field to join Tom Brady in the Sunshine State. While the big tight end couldn’t play up to his old elite standard, the Arizona product proved he could still play. In total, Gronkowski finished the regular season with 45 receptions for 623 yards and seven touchdowns while providing elite blocking in the trenches. Gronkowski saved his best for last, recording six receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns in Tampa Bay’s 31-9 championship win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rob Gronkowski initially entered the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Selected by the New England Patriots, Gronkowski became an integral part of the offense right out of the gate. Appearing in all 16 games as a rookie while making 11 starts, Gronkowski finished his inaugural season with 42 receptions for 546 yards and 10 touchdowns. He did more than enough to put his name on the map, but he took his game to a whole new level in 2011. Once again appearing in all 16 games, the second-year sensation recorded 90 receptions for 1,327 yards and a league-leading 17 touchdowns. Additionally, Gronkowski added another score on a backward lateral that technically counted as a rushing attempt.

Gronkowski remained arguably the most unstoppable threat in the NFL when healthy, but he struggled to stay healthy over the next couple of seasons. He never played a full 16-game season from 2012 to 2018 and battled through concussion, forearm, back, and ankle injuries. Throughout the course of his career, Gronkowski has recorded 566 receptions for 8,484 yards and 86 touchdowns in 131 regular season games.
